Finding a cheap rim or cheap tire for your automobile

Since everyone these days are looking for a deal these days, some of the best cheap rim and cheap tire deals can be by doing a little custom wheel treasure hunting of your own.

Some of the best cheap rim and cheap tire deals can be found at your local auto wrecker yard.

Many times you can find the right cheap rim and tire that is just right for your car or truck. Its always best to simply call the wrecker or auto salvage yard first to see if they have the right cheap rim for your ride in stock. If they don’t, make sure to ask if they can phone other auto yards to see if they can order the right cheap rim or cheap tire for you.

Another great source for finding the right cheap rim or cheap tire is to look for custom wheel shops. A lot of these shops take a cheap rim on a trade in for their customers that want to upgrade their tire and rim sets. The trade-ins they take will usually be in good condition and you will be able to get a great set of wheel rims at a cheap rim price!

Auto flea markets and swap meets are another great source to find the right cheap rim or cheap tire for your ride. Make sure you bring cash to make sure you can easily purchase your wheels from the vendor. This will give you a better negotiation angle to get your new wheels at a cheap rim price.

Phone custom repair shops and auto body shops and leave your name and number in case they come across a cheap rim deal that is right for you. Automobiles get wrecked all the time, but thier wheels and tires may be still good condition. These shops may be able to hook you up with tires and wheels at a great cheap rim price.

Finally, keep an eye on your local paper and resale ad classifieds. Great deals always can be found to get the best cheap rim and cheap tire for your ride.

Author: Steve Liew

It is a problem that most air travellers face - how and where to buy those cheap airfares online and what are the benefits in savings and drawbacks compared to buying the cheap airfares from the travel agent down the road.

If you travel by air, you would already know that airfares cost typically forms the dominant chunk of your travel bill be it leisure or holiday. And the savings can add up a lot i.e. if you know where to really get those cheap airfares.

But in the current world where there are a proliferation of travel agencies, sites and even airlines themselves advertising all sort of cheap airfares, if you buy those airfares online yourself and cut out the middlemen, the travel agents, then things could get confusing fast.

Without some guidance and understanding of how one of the world’s largest industry works (air travel), travellers are likely to find themselves short-changed for the more expensive airfares tickets or buying something they may not need that had already been built into the airfare prices.

Of course, every traveller would love it if they could just get those cheapest airfares or at least bragged to their relatives or friends how they managed to get those cheap airfares at 30%-50% cheaper than the next guy sitting on the plane. Is this possible actually?

Yes, you can do all these online yourselves but here are 7 important tips you have to know before buying those airfares online or searching for the best cheap airfare deal:

1) Know your priority first.
If cheap airfare price is everything and you can settle for some minor restrictions, then you are always better to go for the cheap consolidators’ airfares rather than that of the airlines’ own published airfares themselves.

On domestic US routes, some of the big online air travel consolidators you could check out are Onetravel.com, Hotwire.com, Priceline.com, etc.

On the other hand, if airfare price is not your top consideration (for example, you have this worry about foreign airlines reliability or security), you should then monitor your favourite airline’s own cheap airfare sales, which they have periodically every two to three months.

Or try to look for a complete package tour (which is likely cheaper in airfare ticket prices than just buying the airfare ticket alone) from the big published Internet travel agencies like Travelocity.com, Expedia.com, etc.

2) Do not waste time checking sites which have the same sources of cheap airfares.
For example, these sites may rely on the same computerised reservation system (CSR) that gives you options from the same set of published air fares.

There are less than 8 major CSR systems in the industry (you can check the sites on which CSRs are they using or ask their customer help desk) and it is better if you get your options from most or all of them to get the cheapest airfares.

Note that some sites may just be a portal or gateways to other main sites so it will be a waste of time to check your options on these sites together for your cheap airfare search.

3) Get the full itineraries available
Remember that airfare pricing are determined by a variety of factors such as dates, seating, routes (direct flights, stopovers or connecting flights for example), and their rules for cancellations, refunds or changes to the tickets.

You may find that the cheapest airfare tickets tend to have a lot of restrictions that may not be suitable to you.

For example, if you are on a rushed vacation where there are too many stopovers or connecting flights, these are likely to eat into your vacation time. Always check the fine prints before paying for any cheap airfares as there are tradeoffs to be made.

4) Always book and pay quickly on a good deal
Do not waste your time searching endlessly for the best cheap airfares deal. They don’t likely exist as airfare pricing are determined by many things as noted from above and the cheapest airfare tickets may not be suitable after all for your requirements.

If you do see a good cheap airfare deal, book and pay for it quickly.

Airlines typically may offer a few crash-down cheap airfare deals to pull in demands on limited seat availability and what you see in the advertisements may not be available to you in a few days or even the next hour unless you book and pay for those cheap seats quickly.

Keeping an eye open and putting yourself on the e-mail list of notifications by the airlines or travel agencies are a good way of spotting these cheap airfare deals.

5) There is no magical place or site to look, just the best comparison
Despite what some may claim, there are no one airline or travel site that will offer you the best available cheap airfare deal as it all depends on your requirements and travel preferences.

There are actually thousands of permutations of flights routes, prices, type of flights, seatings, timing, etc for any possible trip especially for those long-distance, lengthy, round-the-world (RTW)trips.

Hence, it is always wise to do comparison between airlines or travel agencies at all time for their cheap airfare claims or offers. Of course, just do not be a cheap airfare fanatic until you miss the forest for the trees.

6) Never assume anything on cheap airfares
The best advice is never to assume anything on the airfares that you have to pay as what is cheap could be obscured by hidden charges.

Make sure that the net cheap airfare price you have to pay have factored in other charges like airport taxes, surcharges, agencies charges, etc. before you pay or make a like-for-like comparison with other sites.

Also never assume that online airfare prices will be cheaper. Always check offline for example with the consolidators’ cheap airfares.

Also never assume that those cheapest airfares flight search function on any travel websites will actually get you the ever lowest discount fares.

They won’t as search robots are actually not exactly built that way and are quite rigid. For example, they may not disclose another cheaper airfare alternative say if you vary your destination or stopover a little bit, which brings us to a last point.

7) You need to invest some patience and efforts
Ultimately, to find those bargain cheap airfares, you still need to invest the time and effort to find them.

There are always different sites, tactics and sources to find the best possible cheap airfares (note not necessarily the cheapest) for any trips.

If you are unable to do so yourself, you could still find a trustworthy and reliable travel agent to search out those cheap airfare options for you for a small fee.

Just be sure that you ask all the relevant questions in this case as some agents may not likely be as helpful as you want them to be, to search for the lowest airfares or best itineraries for you.

In the end still, nothing beats a little time and effort to plan your trip yourself and get the best out of it at the least cost.

Author: Kate Tilmouth
Everyone is feeling the pinch these days with everything rising in price almost weekly. Whether it is the cost of fuel, the rising cost of the weekly food shop or the increasing mortgage repayments, it is something that will affect all of us at some point. We can’t however stop these increases from happening and for most of us it is impossible to ask for a pay rise to help us cover these extra costs, so what can we do?

Being a frugal shopper could be the answer but to be able to do it successfully you have to ask your self why you want to change your spending habits in the first place. Having a clear goal in mind will help to make sure that your spending stays within your new frugal budget plan. A few of the most common goals and reasons for becoming a frugal shopper are:

To reduce existing debt.
To prevent debt from building up in the first place.
To be able to save for the future i.e. retirement, a new home or even a holiday.
To be less wasteful in general.

Many of us may think that frugal shopping is not for us, as we already spend our money wisely. To double check that this is actually true, ask yourself these few questions:

Do you like to buy all the latest gadgets but never seem to have any spare cash for basic home maintenance?

You eat takeaways several times a week and often complain about how much your weekly food spending is, blaming it on the supermarkets rather than yourself.

You have some debts but can’t resist buying expensive label clothes

Do you complain about the clutter in your home but just can’t resist buying things for it all the time?

If you recognise any of the descriptions above in yourself, you may just have to reconsider and perhaps a little frugal shopping could be for you after all.

To be a good frugal shopper you will have to have a completely different way of thinking about what is good and what is not. For many, buying cheap means buying inferior. This is simply not true and by changing your opinion of so called generic cheap goods verses brand names, will allow you to shop frugally much easier.

There are six main rules to successful frugal shopping and if you stick to these golden rules you will soon notice a difference in your regular spending amounts.

Credit cards should only be carried with you when you plan to make a specific large purchase. By keeping them at home during normal spending trips you will not be tempted by impulse buys. Similarly, know what you want to buy before you go shopping and only carry enough cash for that purpose.

Give yourself time to make a decision about a purchase. For instance if something catches your eye and you are tempted to buy it, don’t, instead tell yourself that you will think about it over night first. It is amazing just how many things loss their appeal over night.

Collect and use coupons whenever possible. Coupons are available everywhere from newspapers and magazines to downloadable ones online. However be sure to only collect coupons for things that you need, you won’t save money if you use coupons to buy things that you wouldn’t normally use.

Bulk buying can be a great saver if you have enough storage space and you know you will be able to use the goods in time. Those three for two items look great but if the product will be stale before you get around to eating or using it, you will be wasting money.

Check out your local second-hand shops and garage sales when you can. Again don’t buy for the sake of it but seek out items that you can either use yourself or give as little gifts. Children’s toys and clothes can often be found at a fraction of the cost and when you consider how quickly they get bored with or grow out of such items, it really isn’t worth spending a fortune on them.

Lastly, shop around a little. You will soon get to know where shops are that are cheaper on certain items than others. It may mean a little extra legwork but can save you plenty of money in the long run.

With these few simple rules under your belt, frugal shopping becomes, not only easy, but can also be quite fun, after all there’s nothing like finding a bargain.

These days people are used to connecting with each other via the net at light speed. Connecting with people over the net does not cost us any money too. These facts lead telephone users to look for services that would enable them to make long distance and international calls at ease and cheap.

Cheap calls can be made using the net too. Still these techniques require the caller and the call receiver to sit by the computer, headset on and make the call at a pre set date and time… not convenient, not easy, no fun.

This is why many are looking for alternative cheap call service providers to make long distance and international calls at lowest possible rates.

VoIP (voice over internet protocol) had become a household term. Most people are aware of the possibility to make cheap calls to destination of their choice using a Wi-Fi phone and a wireless internet connection. Advanced Voip technology enables you to not only hold clear, uninterrupted phone conversations over the net, you can also save money on your standard phone bill. This is especially true when dialing internationally with notoriously expensive mobile phone calls

This is a great way to make cheap calls, but what happens when you’re out of your home, out of Wi-Fi range?

That is what phone service provider companies are offering - the exact solution for this problem.

The goal of telecom is to provide the caller with cheap call rates, using his mobile, from anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world for lowest costs possible.

You can make cheap calls to UK, cheap calls to Finland, Cheap calls to any coutry of your choice using such technologies. You can save up to 90% off your phone bill.

Secret is using internet technology without needing a computer or even a near by internet connection. Some companies offer a service with which subscribers use any touch-tone telephone to dial a local access number, followed by an identity code and the number they wish to reach. Some have the ability for the local access server to identify the caller and save the need to punch in any identity codes, just a 1 touch speed call using any cell phone.

Yes. These services are already available to be used in making cheap mobile calls.

All you need is to get informed.

The New Technology

Based upon the ‘old’ Voip technology, taking it one step forward are the companies offering cheap call rates from your landline or mobile phone without having to make any changes in your calling habits. Just dial the number you wish to connect to and enjoy your conversation.

Using the ‘New Tech’ telecom solutions are truely a ‘No Brainer’. Still you need to find the right provider that offers cheap calls using your cell phone.

On my quest for cheap mobile calls, I have researched the subject and found the most reliable service providers that offer cheap mobile calls, cheap international calls and cheap long distance calls that I am proud to feature on my blog.

No matter how high tech the lastest and greatest movie theater is, no movie theater will ever match the charm of a drive-in movie. First off you are getting first rate movies at 3rd class prices. Two or three new releases for the price of one. Feel free to bring your kids. If they start crying you can shut the windows and your neighbors will never know.

When you go to the drive in the higher up and more comfortable your vehicle is the better the movie experience will be. The best car to go the drive in would be a cadillac escalade.

Lately, everyone’s gotten really excited about bi-weekly mortgages and how they help pay off your loan so much faster, but have no clue what a bi-weekly mortgage is and how it’s saving you thousands of dollars on interest. Before you get a bi-weekly mortgage you need to understand what a bi-weekly mortgage does and other ways you can get the same effect without refinancing or paying someone a fee.

A bi-weekly mortgage pays your mortgage every two weeks instead of once a month resulting in one extra payment per year. You know how every few months it works out so that you receive an extra paycheck for the month? Well a bi-weekly mortgage takes that money and pays off your mortgage with it. So to answer the question of how does a bi-weekly mortgage work? It makes 13 payments every year instead of 12.

The only difference between a traditional mortgage and a bi-weekly mortgage is one payment a year. If you have enough money in your bank account then it could be as simple as writing a check and making a payment, just like that you saved yourself thousands of dollars in accrued interest. Any extra money you can put towards your mortgage now will have a ripple effect and multiply as time goes on.

You could also use a bonus from work or your income tax return as a way of saving money on your mortgage or something as simple as paying an extra 1/12th of your payment every month.

It all comes down to discipline and giving any extra money you have towards your mortgage. Consider it an investment in yourself – an extra $100 dollars now can save you thousands of dollars over the course of 30 years.

Question: Can A Bi-Weekly Mortgage Really Save You Money?

Answer: Yes, but it’s not as simple as just making an extra payment every two weeks. In order for this method to work you need to have the right type of loan. The difference between having the right type of loan and the wrong type could cost you over thirty thousand dollars over the life time of your loan. The other benefit you receive from a bi-weekly loan compared to a traditional mortgage is that your loan will actually be played off on average 6 years sooner than a traditional thirty year.

To do this form of payment correctly you need to know what to look for in a loan so you get the right type of loan. You need to be able to determine what companies are actually saving you money by using them, and which companies are just plain costing you money for nothing.

I’ll start by strongly suggesting that you do this method yourself. Make it a habit to send money to your mortgage company every two weeks; they get paid when you get paid. Don’t use calendar dates to plan your budget – instead use pay cycles. Make a list of everything that you need to pay and pay that bill when it’s in your pay cycle. Pay your bills online and you won’t get nickel and dimed to death by having to buy stamps all the time.
The first thing to you want to do is to call your current mortgage company; you can usually find a number for them on your monthly mortgage statement. Once you get through ask the customer service rep if the payments for your mortgage are processed against your loan immediately or if payment processing is done once a month. If your lender isn’t processing the payments immediately then you have the wrong type of loan.
While you’re still on the phone with your lender check to make sure you are not charged an early payment penalty.

Beware of signing up for a bi-monthly mortgage. It is not the same as the bi-weekly mortgage. With a bi-monthly mortgage, you pay one-half your monthly mortgage twice a month as opposed to every two weeks. The bi-weekly method pays half your mortgage every two weeks resulting in an extra payment at the end of the year. The bi-monthly mortgage does not make the extra interest payment and does not save you thousands of dollars in interest money.

Whenever you include additional money in your payment, make sure you include a note that it is to be applied to the principal, not to the next month’s payment.

Whether you had the right type of loan or you had to refinance the hardest part about saving money with the bi-weekly payment method is keeping on track The difference between succeeding and failing is discipline. There are so many people who try this payment method and are just full of ambition, and then stop completely because they lost track of the long term benefits. You need to have the discipline to make your payments despite the obstacles that life will throw at you.
