Some Tips To Help You Eat On A Budget.

Try local farmers’ markets, if there are any near you. You can *sometimes* get good, healthy, fresh food cheaply. Plus you are helping your local economy.

During the summer, produce is cheaper than in the winter. Apples, oranges, are a good plan.

See if there are any bakery outlets nearby. For instance, there’s an Oroweat outlet and a tasty outlet within a few blocks of my home. Bread that’s $3.50 in the grocery store costs about $1 there.

You can freeze bread so it won’t go bad as quickly.

Get a crock pot (they aren’t that expensive). You can put a few veggies and a cheap cut of meat (or not) with water, put it on low in the morning, and have a warm filling soup by dinner time.
